Out4Cricket (@out4cricket) and No Boundaries Cricket Club (@nbcccic) are pleased to announce a partnership to work together to make cricket more inclusive, diverse and welcoming.
Out4Cricket work with and support the LGBTQ+ community and stakeholders in cricket to create inclusive environments that increase community participation through education, advocacy, research, promotion and resources.
No Boundaries Cricket Club works across four strategic communities – Development, Disabled, LGBTQ+ and Woman & Girl’s – to educate people on the benefits and opportunities cricket provides, and to support individuals through coaching, mentoring and games as they look to find their own level of comfort and enjoyment in the game.
Both companies will maintain their own independence and strategies, but with Out4Cricket focussed on the environment, and No Boundaries Cricket Club on the individual, we believe we will achieve our individual and collective objectives quicker.
Having seen first hand how NBCC approach coaching, mentoring and game management I have total confidence that they are the ideal partners to help prepare players of all abilities to develop their skills and confidence and enjoy the many benefits cricket can provide.
Lachlan Stephen-Smith Co Founder Out4Cricket
Inclusion principles will be similar across the various communities that NBCC and Out4Cricket are looking to help, so it makes a lot of sense to combine and compliment each others skills.
Leo Skyner Co Founder Out4Cricket
Cricket faces challenges both on and off the field in offering a truly inclusive and diverse environment where all feel welcome, comfortable and engaged. What Out4Cricket have achieved to date with the LGBTQ+ community proves they are the right people for NBCC to partner with.
Chris Marshall Founder No Boundaries Cricket Club
Initial objectives include expanding the NBCC LGBTQ+ and NBCC Woman & Girls’ teams across the Development and Disabled Communities, under the leadership of Darrell Butler (Head of Community Development), signing up more Clubs, Boards and Foundations to the Out4Cricket Conferences, Taster Session and Workshops, and setting up inclusivity nets with the County Cricket Clubs.
