2023
16th April: Birmingham Unicorns
A pre season game to give players from both sides an opportunity to get some ‘game time’ pre season so a very flexible approach was adopted with some mulligans, substitutions and retired not outs. For the record Birmingham Unicorns batted first and scored 80 for 9 off 34 overs and NBCC scored 168 for 2 (4 retired not put) off 24 overs.
28th August: Green Lane CC
A T20 against another Cricket Coffee Co team, with a view to this being an annual event and to raise awareness for Runs4Research, it is fair to say this was a success both on and off the field with a good game played in the right spirit, and plans made for next season: a T20 fun day, a pre season game and support for Runs4Research.
3rd September: Hospital Services
The sun shone, a cricket tea was consumed, whites were worn, the opposition provided both excellent hospitality and a good game, cake was consumed, blazer was worn amd fun was had.
17th September: Birmingham Unicorns
A 30 over game to the end the season, with the Birmingham Unicorns gaining a well deserved victory thanks to a tremendous innings from Chair and Captain Lachlan Smith, supported by a great all round team performance. Thanks to Hammerwich for being such tremendous hosts.
