Delighted to announce that Alex Smith has joined NBCC as Head of Compliance (aka Whakapapa).
A latecomer to the game of cricket, Alex is a Wicket Keeper who bats in the lower order. He will be playing his first full league season this year at Church Eaton, and is heavily involved with the NBCC LGBTQ+ team, and played for NBCC last year.
He is currently Chairman of Northfield Arts Forum, is a former Founding Trustee of the Loreburn Hall Trust (in Scotland) and was Secretary and then Chairman of the Loreburn Community Council (which represented residents of the historic Royal Burgh of Dumfries) in the mid 2010s.
It is this combination of a passion for the game coupled with experience working in the charity and voluntary sectors, on arts, community development, and social inclusion which makes him perfect for this role.
