Coaching equipment is affordable, available and most clubs have an ample supply of it, but I am always a little bemused how few players invest in any coaching kit of their own.
I would suggest adding the following to your training kit bag:
- Red/White Cricket Ball (seam, trajectory, spin)
- Catching Gloves (you practising catching, so gives your hands a break)
- Baseball Mitt (First Base or Catching)
- Sidearm Thrower (practice consistently, with pace)
- Cones
- Batting Tees
- White Boards (map fielding positions)
- Chalk (mark your run up, stance, trigger)
Your game will improve the more you practice and the you can practice more with a buddy or on your own with the basic coaching equipment above.
