HUGE thanks to George Dobell (@GeorgeDobell1), Chief Correspondent for The Cricketer (@TheCricketerMag) for joining No Boundaries Cricket Club as a Mentor. A key objective of the club is to make people aware of the opportunities cricket provides both on and off the field so having a mentor with the pedigree of George will be a tremendous help for those looking to develop an interest or career in cricket journalism, and writing in general.
George has previously worked for ESPNcricinfo, The Guardian and The Times and ghosted Jonathan Trott’s autobiography and has a book due for release on 4th May 2023 that he has written in partnership with Azeem Rafiq (@AzeemRafiq30) – whose playing number we proudly carry on our coloured playing tops – which will take “a bracing look at the moments that led up to and defined the watershed parliamentary meeting where Azeem stood up and courageously spoke out about his experiences of racism”.
