Having captained the Gloucestershire Team last year in the first LGBTQ+ T10 Tournament in the UK, Chris will be captaining the team again in 2024, and you are more than welcome to come along to watch, play or score!
Details are still being confirmed but the date will be Sunday June 9th and the venue once again the excellent Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club.
The format last year was 8 a side T10 and five (5) teams participated: Warwickshire, Middlesex, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Northamptonshire.
Ideally the organisers would like 6 teams so they can have two groups of three with the winners of each group playing in the Final. So far Warwickshire (Birmingham Unicorns), Middlesex (Graces) and Gloucestershire (NBCC incognito) are confirmed.
The tournament is open to all.
As far as Gloucestershire are concerned we will be holding a net on April 7th (10am to 4pm) at the Seat Unique Stadium to promote the tournament and recruit players! We will have a couple of warm up games on June 2nd against Warwickshire at Lapworth Cricket Club and a social event at a Gloucestershire home T20 Blast game v Hampshire on June 7th where Chris will be collecting the Gloucestershire Shirts and inspecting the pitch with Meg Lay
