The event is looking for a fantastic group of volunteers to help deliver the largest high-level international event for athletes with visual impairment. With more than 1250 competitors from 70 nations the IBSA World Games offer a wonderful opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a world class sporting event.
Volunteer opportunities are available from the 12th – 28th August, however the main event dates where a higher number of volunteers will be required are the 18th – 27th August. The event predominately takes place at venues in Birmingham, however there are also satellite venues in Coventry, Warwick and Walsall.
The event is ideally looking for volunteers who can be available for 6 shifts or more throughout the duration of the event and will be allocating volunteers based on availability, location preference and skill set matching.
Power of People have been appointed to deliver this volunteer programme and will be using Volunteero to do this.
If you are available and would like to volunteer within our sport, we need you to visit the below site and register with the system. This page is called Volunteer Expression Of Interest.
https://forms.volunteero.org/view/b11c5349-8d4f-4116-9663-495e2ebb8059
On this form there is a section called Volunteer Code – the code for our sport is CKT2023. If you submit that in the box you will automatically be assigned to our sport once the process is fully complete.
Once you complete the Volunteer Expression Of Interest form your submission will be reviewed by one of the event team before being moved to the next stage.
You will then be added as a volunteer into the Volunteero system – so please look out for an email to register. This can take a few days for us to complete. You will then need to complete your registration in the system to move to the next stage.
Once in the system, you will see 2 ‘Missions’ which you are assigned to – 1 is for your personal data and 1 is for your availability and preferences. You need to complete the reports for both ‘Missions’ in order to be considered for a role.
