White Boards

As a Coach I love it when a player turns up to their training sessions with a white board, ideally two! Personally when I net I like to have two boards with me: 1) when I am bowling I use one (double sided) which has two field settings – offensive and defensive – which leave at the batters end so they know what field I am bowling to, and 2) when I bat I have a white board with the plan I have for myself that net, so as the net progresses I can tick them off and if necessary ask the bowlers/feeder to change their approach to help me.

They are are also a really useful aim for the coach to discuss with the player and to watch out for the specifics the player is looking to get out of the session.

Effective practise is the best approach: quality over quantity.
