112 Carlota Galgos

112 Carlota Galgos is a non profit association launched in 2012 which works for the protection of the Spanish Greyhound (Galgo Español). Based in Andalucia they rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for these amazing dogs, who are far too often abused and neglected in the most horrendous ways.

Chris, one of our founders, has a long established relationship with 112, and is proud to be able to call Charlotte and Dioni and their amazing family friends. Whilst living in Spain he personally transported 1168 Galgos to their new homes across Europe and the UK and many of these came from 112 Carlota Galgos. The first dog he ever transported was a Galgo Cross called Briken in October 2011 and he fell in love with the breed instantly. Along with his wife Sandra they have adopted three Galgos, Teo (who dies young), Tigra (from Charlotte) and Tito (who spent a week with Charlotte)

There is simply no way that the Galgos and 112 could not be a cause we supported. There is an image of Teo on the Coloured Playing Shirts as is the Diá de Galgos Project, which explains more about the plight of these beautiful dogs and helps raise funds for a number of Galgo rescues including 112.
