Simon (@Simonashmore5) has recently moved back to the Midlands, so is now a neighbour, and what better a ‘welcome home’ present than to join NBCC as a Bowling Mentor.
A 80mph bowler in his prime (and that is fast) he now averaged a far from shabby, and very accurate, 65mph for his current club Draycott & Hanbury CC in the Derbyshire County League.
A founding member of the Beijing Ducks from his time in China, he still turns out for them as well as The Forty Club in Yorkshire & North East and the East Midlands and The Metronomes, who raise money for Autism. And of course he will be adding NBCC to his list of clubs which also includes Ashbourne, and Skipton.
As a Bowling Mentor Simon will be available to talk through issues, techniques and approaches to bowling, and will fulfill a Senior Pro role when he plays for NBCC.
