Cricket Coffee Cup

Update: this has been rearranged to play Green Park CC on 28th August

Update: this has had to be postponed. A new date will be confirmed as soon as possible.

When we signed up with Cricket Coffee Co (@CricketCoffeeCo) to become one of their participating clubs we suggested an annual game involving these clubs could be arranged playing for the Cricket Coffee Cup, so delighted to confirm that this game will take place on Monday 29th May at, and against, our friends Spen Victoria Cricket Bowls and Athletic Club.

The NBCC Team is open to players from all the clubs they partner and players would wear their club kit (like the Barbarians). The various coffees would be available for sale on the day so any sales made would benefit the relevant charities supported by the partners.

In addition as our Ambassador and friend James Butler (The Cricket Badger Podcast) is based near to Leeds and his chosen charity for us to support is Alzheimers we will be donating to that charity, and promoting Runs4Research (@Runs4Research).

We will also be promoting our Cricket Kindness project which collects used equipment and distributes it to those in need.

We have just started planning this but details are on this fixture page. Please take a look and if you want to play get in touch and if you have any suggestions would love to hear them.

HUGE thanks to Yusuf and Spen Victoria for their ongoing support and to Gareth Boucher for agreeing to Captain the side.

This year will be one match, but in future years it would be good to make it into a T20 tournament.
