Affiliated Club: Birmingham Unicorns CC

Delighted to announce that the inspirational Birmingham Unicorns Cricket Club have joined us as an Affiliated Club which basically means that we will look to jointly promote the joy of cricket as a sport for all, and where we can we’ll help each other out by providing players.

About Birmingham Unicorns CC

Birmingham Unicorns was established in 2020 as a proudly LGBTQ+ inclusive cricket club, providing a place for people passionate about cricket to come and play and socialise. We believe we are only the second such cricket club in the world and we have built the club so that want everyone who joins can enjoy their cricket and have the freedom to be themselves.

We welcome everyone, including allies, who want to enjoy cricket in a friendly, supportive community environment.

We play our home games in Lapworth, Solihull and generally play friendly fixtures on Sundays with the occasional mid-week T20 fixture.

We cater to all playing levels and we welcome everyone to come down and play, watch or socialise whether you have played cricket before or are totally new to the sport. If you want to find out more then get in touch via our Contact page! (Read More)

About Our Affiliated Club Programme

Pretty much every charity/wandering cricket club has an issue with player availability: with more and more players extending their club careers with the growth of both Development Teams and County Seniors Cricket finding players for the conventional Sunday or Mid Week Fixture is harder, and the resultant lack of fixtures can make it hard for players to justify membership of a second club.

One way that we at No Boundaries Cricket Club can help is through our Affiliated Cricket Club Programme: basically we pool resources with similar clubs to ensure that together we can put out a team.

Rather like the Barbarians the players will wear ‘their’ Team Kit and the awareness and fundraising will benefit all Affiliated Clubs.

This is a great way to give your club members access to more games each season without having to put out a full team each time and make all the arrangements.

If would like to discuss with get in touch via the Contact Page. Please note you MUST be a properly structured and registered Club (Community Amateur Sports Club), Charity, Community Interest Company or similar with accounts, constitution, officials and be able to demonstrated proper accountability as we will not allow the charities we are working with to be exposed to any form of potential embarrassment.
